    Clarification of TT Fees

    I was reviewing your most recent announcement regarding the new TT fees starting 1/1/06 and need clarification on a couple of points. The last question in your FAQ section is not clear to me. It states:

    [b][size=1][size][size=1][size]
    [size=1][size]
    [size=1][size]
    [size=1][size]
    [size=1]

    Don't know why my original post came through as it did, but we'll try again:

    Original Post:

    I was reviewing your most recent announcement regarding the new TT fees starting 1/1/06 and need clarification on a couple of points. The last question in your FAQ section is not clear to me. It states:

    "If I place trades to the Interactive Brokers or MB Trading Demonstration Feeds do I have to pay royalties? Yes."

    I use IB. Are the "Trading Demonstration Feeds" you are referring to in the above FAQ the IB DEMO and/or new Paper Trading Account? And just so my understanding is clear, regardless of the feed I use, if I'm using the SIM101 account to test something there are no TT fees, but if I'm using the IB DEMO or PT account and have those account numbers showing in the SuperDOM, TT fees will be assessed? Am I understanding this correctly?

    Also, for longer swing and position trades where the SuperDOM is really superfluous, if I simply place my trades directly through TWS using an IB account that NT is or will be connected to, will there be TT fees? How about if I use a second IB account that NT is never connected to.

    TT must have surely complicated your life this past year.

    Thanks in advance.

      Hi,

      In the news and documentation I have read about this TT licensing issue, I read that TT was seeking a 2.5c fee per side.

      However, from the internal communications I have received from fellow traders of the same system I will be using, i.e. NT with IB and an eSignal data feed, I will be charged 10c per side.

      Can someone please clarify what's going on? I'm a bit confused.

      thanks,

        Hi Antraman,

        Fees will be $0.10 per side and $0.20 a roundtrip

          Thanks for the reply Vince. So what is the $0.025 figure mentioned for each side in the TT news announcements over the last several months?

            Probably a misunderstanding:

            a) Initially TT asked the 4 major futures exchanges for 0.025 for any (!) trade made. The big 4 rejected that claim.
            b) Then TT addressed ISV's (like us) and claimed a different fee.
            c) NinjaTrader settled on lowest possible which is 0.1 per side.

              Thanks, that clears it up.

              How bad could it have been for us?

              cheers,

                Is that $.10 per side per contract or $.10 per side per order?

                Thanks
