Bond Problem ( and other financials )

After nearlly a week Im still having mapping issues with Bonds. Is there anyone out there who trades bonds through PATS that can tell me what to place in External and what to place in Patsystems so that TS can send an order to my broker.

My broker says its open but cant tell me the symbol to place in Pats, only the name. Ninja doesnt seem to know the symbol either and has gone off searching. With bonds its a mystery as at least for the other financials data can be seen but for bonds no and for the ones that can be seen still dont know the mapping.

Im trading 40 instruments and the rest seem fine.

anyone out there who has insight to this, preferably a trader with informed knowledge, no guesses please as each time someone guesses i lose money, ive lost a lot over the past week with manual calls to the broker. Thanks again

Ok, so your are trying to trade the "ZB".

What is the exact TS instrument name?

I created an instrument in the database called US

external was set to US so it sees the tradestation US

Ok, I suggest giving it a fresh start by:
- dropping your DB, since you added a custom instrument with custom mappings for the US which likely confused NT
- add "US" to the external mapping of "ZB"

You then should be good.

How do I "drop" the database

Please tell me what the patsystems map for Bonds is using ZB. Is it

or some other.

Hi Moog,

You can drop the database using these instructions:

Make sure NinjaTrader is closed upon taking these steps.

Go to the Windows Start Menu--> My Computer--> C disk--> Program Files--> NinjaTrader6 (or 6.5)--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB. Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select Delete.

Now restart NinjaTrader.

Please note, you will lose all historical chart data, ATM strategy templates and trade history data.

In addition, the correct symbol mapping for the ZB with Patsystems is "ZB|CME_CBT".

Moog, there is no need to manually change the instrument mapping for ZB. It's already setup correctly.
