As far as the protection you may use any software that you wish, but we could only support the CLI Secure Team/Agile .NET for protecting custom assemblies. Here is a link to our Help Guide that goes over the DLL Security.

We do not as the only DLL Security software that you can use within NinjaTrader 7 is the CLI Secure Team/Agile.NET.
