    IB Real Time Update

    Hi,

    I'm getting OEX one minute real time data without a problem using IB as a data provider. However, when I switch to range, or even tick charts, no real time data is provided. In fact, anything less than a minute does (NOT) update the chart at all.

    I understand that tick data will not backfill as no historical data is provided by IB, however, IB does provide real-time data which should chart.

    I have previously imported historical tick data for OEX. I have tried the global data merge settings to both "mergeautoadjust" and "nomerge."

    Can you assist in allow my chart to update with current tick data? (EDIT: Worth noting that IBM range charts update correctly.)

    What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)

    What version of TWS are you using? You can find this under Help -> About Trader Workstation (Example Build 9XX.X)

      Hi Chelsea,

      The version of TWS is 40...build 935.3 and the version of NT7 is 7.0.1000.12

      The only difference between IBM and OEX is that tick data has been previously loaded into OEX.

        Hello bigdavediode,

        Thank you for the information.

        The problem may be coming from an incompatible version of TWS.

        NinjaTrader's IB API only works with TWS version 927.7.

        Please download and install this version from the link on the Interactive Brokers Connection Guide to which I've added a link to below.
