I have IB as main feed with historic data off and kinetics as backup, yet my volume on EJ pair looks like this.

Thanks for the screenshot. This is how IB's TWS API is reporting the volume to NinjaTrader. Since, Forex has not centralized Market Volume from every provider can be different as such it is not commonly used. If you are enabled for real-time data for these instruments through Kinetick you may want to connect to Kinetick first and then IB so that way the Real-Time and Historical Data will be from Kinetick, but you would still be able to place orders to IB. Here is a link to our Help Guide that gives example on how to connect to multiple connections that you may view.
Note that there is limitation as well with IB that the real-time volume data can have spikes in them. More information about this can be found at the following post.
