Rollover and Charts settings

Hello,

I have set up a workspace containing several charts with YM 03-13 contract as a primary contract. I am papertrading on it.

Now, as a new contract YM 06-13 was rolled over, do I have to set up a new workspace for the new contract to have the same settings for all the charts?

You could link all our charts together so that when you update one of them all the charts update to the YM 06-13 contract.

Rollover instructions:
Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.

From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date

The problem is that I can not update the chart.
Once I have a chart with one Data series (YM), this is a primary data series. And this is not allowed to change. Simply, I can not remove the YM 03-13 and the add YM 06-13. That is why I cannt update/channge the instrument in the chart.

And if I cannt change the instrument, I cannt link multiple charts together.

You can change the primary series of a chart by selecting it in the chart then begin typing the instrument name. In this case you would type "YM 06-13" (without quotes) and press enter.

Additionally you can use the dropdown in the upper left if you have rolled it over on your default list.
