    NtDirect.dll loading failure

    Hi, I got this message

    Metadata file 'c:\Windows\SysWOW64\NtDirect.dll' could not be opened -- 'An attempt was
    made to load a program with an incorrect format. '

    what may be the issue? Win8 and NT 7.0.1000.11 64 bit
    .NET/CLR Version: 2.0.50727.6387

    Snark, would this only be given for the 64 bit version of NT7?

      Not indeed... I've tried both logged in 32 and 64 both has same results..
      Does this file come with WIN8 or Ninja or .NET?

        Thanks, the file would come with NT, but would only be for 32 bit. When exactly is this triggered for you, what are you attempting to setup?

          well, I've done some exercises - the issues rose when I tried to use NTchange function in my strategy - so was told to assemble the NtDirect.dll and did - without any success.
          I tried to assemble a copy from Program Files (86) folder, from WOW64, from System32, from other Windows version on other PC - same result - wrong format..
          Found a thread says that the NinjaTrader.Client.dll has the same functions as NtDirect, but when I tried to assemble .Client.dll - got a message that .core.dll already has same functions as .Client.dll....
          Any suggestions, Bertrand?

            Sorry, but I don't follow you: 'when I tried to use NTchange function in my strategy' why would you do that, was that suggested to you by our support? There's the native NinjaScript ChangeOrder() method you can use for example in Umnanaged mode giving you full flexibility -

              ok, Bertrand, I got your point. will try to avoid nonstandard approach. It was in examples of codes and looked simple. So - does your answer means that NtDirect.dll is not supported anymore?

              btw I have one more issue with IB TWS platform - My Ninja picked up the data from TWS, but doesn't allow to place orders to my live account (although it see it and follows positions on it, balance etc,) - I can place orders only to simulate account from NT and have to place orders manually through TWS.. Any suggestion or should I open this in new thread ?

                Snark, NTDirect would be still offered but used for communicating with NT over the AT Interface, so for example for processing externally generated trade signals from 3rd party software. Known limitation is currently, it's only for 32 bit.

                Do you use a live license key from us for NT? Otherwise you could not access any external account, but would be 'locked' into using the Sim101 internally in NT.

                  So, you are saying that even though there is a NTDirect.dll in the bin64 directory....it is not 64 bit. It is 32 bit, so all applications wanting to make use of it must be 32 bit exe's (or dlls).

                  Why is it in the bin64 directory?...it should be removed!
