charting data

Hi can someone tell me what I am missing here? When I pull up a chart, there is not enough history displayed on the chart.For example, If I pull up an hourly chart, I may only see 20 or so candles. I have experimented with the Period where it says Type and value. I have increased them and decreased them as well. I have also done the same thing with the Data section where it says load data based on days bars etc. I would appreciate the help so that my charts are configured all the same no matter which one I choose to bring up. Thanks for the help

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)
Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.
What instrument have you selected?
Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?
