I am about to lose it...
What is up with this platform!!! I never had so many problems setting any platform up. Any who, could someone please answer few questions for me. I just downloaded NinjaTrader platform and hooked it up to my FXCM demo account. The first questions would be if I got a trial version can I still see live charts? I opened E/U chart for 70 ticks and it doesn't move so assume its data from before. Can I get it moving on a trial version? Also for some reason zoom in and zoom out buttons don't work as if you are no suppose to zoom anything... please help!Tags: None

Sorry to hear of your frustration.
1.) It is possible to display live data using the free version of NinjaTrader. Specifically which instrument appears to not update for you?

Thank you for the quick reply. I got the zoom in and out thing to work. Thing is I can zoom out only after I zoom in so the chart I see is pretty much as small as it gets. I wanted to zoom it out more but I guess it isn't possible. If it is, let me know. The chart started moving so there is no problem there now. Also I have a question if there is a feature which shows the countdown of ticks so I somewhat know how long I have till my next candle?

Hello,
1.) There is a maximum level to which you can zoom out. Based on your description, that point has been reached. Bar size and spacing can be adjusted to show more information however. Left click within the time axis and drag the mouse to adjust bar compression.
2.) The TickCounter indicator can be used:
- Right click in the chart and select Indicators.
- Select TickCounter from the list on the upper left then click New.
- Click OK to apply the indicator and exit the Indicators menu.

Awesome, the bars size fixed the issue
I added the TickCounter indicator and it says that its there on top left of the chart but I do not seen any countdown... Where is it hiding?

Another question, is there a way to set up 1 click market entrance? And is there a way to set up s/l and t/p so it stays the same for every single trade?

Hello,
1.) You can disable the feature that prompts you for confirmation when submitting an order by following the instructions below.- From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
- Select the "General" tab
- Uncheck the option "Confirm order placement"
- Press the "OK" button

umm
I see the videos explaining how to set up the orders but it doesn't show where to click to get to them? I see but and sell buttons on top of my platform but when i click buy or sell it just asks me to confirm yes or no to enter a trade or not. How do I bring up those order windows from the videos?

When I right click the order and click on manage ATM Strategy tamplates a small window pops up and says "Missing Instrument". What do I do?

Hi spartakden,
Please make sure that you've selected an instrument in the 'Instrument' drop down menu within the window you're using. To be clear, ATM strategies are not tied to a specific instrument however these windows require that an instrument be selected before allowing for the configuration of a strategy.

Ok i see instruments drop down menu in the ticket order menu, it has weird names like ES 03-13, TF 03-13 and so on, what do they mean and which one do I need to select?
