how to convert points into stoploss

For the ES Emini S&P 500 - lets say in setting up a short limit order and a stop loss
Lets say the short limit order is 1500.50
and the stop loss to be 1519 — a distance of 18.5

1. do I set the ATM Stop loss to 74? (18.5 points x 4 ticks)

2. is the stop loss automatically at the market?

1) Yes, a stop loss of 74 ticks on the ES will equal 18.5 points.
