Incorporating a stop loss

Hello,

I'm currently working on a system which enters the day after a certain pattern formation.

I'd like to include a stop loss at the low of a certain bar but I am unable to work out how to do it in the conditional builder.

I've attached a screen shot of where the trade is entered and where the I would like my stop loss to be, can you please assist?

Hello kid hustlr, that would depend largely on how you would define 'this bar' first.

You could be for example checking into the MIN indicator that would track the minimum price value over a certain # of bars (that's a user input).

Thanks Bertrand, Off the top of my head that might work but I'll need to have a play around over the next few days. Will report back If I'm still struggling

I played around with the 'min' indicator and now another issue has arisen.

The MIN values seem to be incorrect. I have set the parameters to 'calculate on bar close = false' yet it is still not giving me the low of each bar, it still seems to be giving me the lowest close.

I am using Interactive brokers data if this influences anything.

Correct, per default it would use the Close price, you can though specific to use the Low series of the ES instrument in the parameters 'Input Series' section on the right side for the MIN() indicator.
