Ninja 7 will freeze after a momentary disconnection from the internet.
My data feed is CQG.
If the internet is down for a time quicker than we can say "Ninja disconnected from feed", the Ninja platform will freeze and not reconnect on its own.
I must shut down Ninja and then restart the program manually. I cannot access the Ninja tool bar to restart Ninja. I must use the windows task master to shut the platform down and then restart Ninja. I am using windows 7, 64 bit with 4 gigs of RAM and i5 processor. I only have the ES up on the charts. If I restart Ninja, data will load. But a restart is necessary to reconnect to the data feed because of my inability to use the tool bar interface (because of the Ninja platform freeze)
This can be a very difficult situation. Cant trade of course, because of the nastiness
of being in a trade and not being able to get out if the computer freezes. I also use the GOMI Cummulative Delta for bid/ask differential and accumulate data overnight. Many times the platform will shut down and the CD data will not be continuous. This becomes very problematic. I am considering the use the divergence between the CD and price as one of my major confirmations of trade entries. And by the way, I just installed the GOM 5 days ago, but this problem with the freezing of the platform predated the GOM by many months.
I hope someone has an idea about this, where to look, logs to note, etc,
