Make Manual Trade Sell on Close

Is there a way to make a manual trade, which was entered right on the chart, sell on close, the way one can program automated strategies to do so?

What do you mean by sell on close? You mean the close of a bar, or the session close?

From Tools--> Options--> Misc tab, there is an option to "Flatten positions" at a user defined time:

Please note that this is going to flatten ALL positions on ALL accounts connected to NinjaTrader at this time.

There is not an option to specify a specific position to close at a time.

I mean to set up a trade that will automatically close itself on the close of the trading day.

Like, I'm going to work now, and I'm leaving a trade open. I'd like it to close automatically at (or right before) the 4pm bell, and take profits (or losses, as it were).

This option will do just that.

Regardless if by trade you mean a pending order, or an open position, this option will close everything at that time.

ah ok. I thought this was the flatten position button that one manually hits, and flattens everything at that moment.

I'll look into this feature and see if I can make it work for me.

Right, it does the same thing, just at a user controlled time.
