Custom sound file not playing

I added my own custom .WAV file to the NinjaTrader sounds folder and it is not playing. I renamed my custom WAV file exactly like the one I replaced ("StopFilled") and renamed the old to "StopFilledOld".

Everything is the same between my file and Ninjatraders sound file, EXCEPT the bitrate. I don't see this as being a problem though?

The XML file showed no other needed changes to make this work. Yes, it's checked to play under options and I have reloaded ninjascript/rebooted.

I was a system admin in my previous life and I'm lost!

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Hello Ryan,

Do you see an error inside your Log tab?

NinjaTrader uses the .NET API to play the sound and it only supports PCM wave files. If you get an error stating "Sound API only supports playing PCM wave files" then it would need to be converted to PCM wave file type to be used in order to play an audible alert. There is a post on our support that a user suggested a method to convert a ".wav" file to a PCM wave file type that you may view at the following link under post #5.

Converted to PCM using Audacity now it works.
