Market Analyzer with 3000 stocks daily data

    Hi Guys

I am playing with the market analyzer.
I have added about 3000 stocks in it. Daily bars from Yahoo.
I have setup Lookback for 256 days and max bars in series is also 256.

I've added a column with my Custom indicator.
The indicator does not have any memory allocations except regular plots ( about 8 ).

I am wondering if that is normal situation that the program takes about 1.3 GB of RAM in this case.
I have divided extra RAM by 3000 and most optimistic number is 200K-250K per one symbol ( or per one row if you might say )

I am wondering why is it so ? and what could be a problem ?
Do you think it is expected to have 250K per one symbol ?

I am not saying that it is wrong, I just want to understand why is it so much memory allocated.

    Kind regards

Actually, I have found a partial "solution" of the problem.

Before, I was using 64-bit version of NT.
I have tried to do the same in 32-bit version and memory usage decreased radically. I might even say it decreased twice!

So here is the conclusion: even though 64-bit gives you access to more memory, the data itself eats this memory two times faster as before. So think twice about using 64bit version if you could do the same with 32bit.

Plus, I removed a few unused columns (bid, ask, price).

As a result, I was able to squeeze 3000 stocks on daily into one cheap basic VPS with only 1 GB of RAM.

Hopefully, this will help someone to do the same if one needs.

    Cheers
