    Can't close, etc.

Yesterday, I had to do a ctrl-alt-del and force close Ninja because it wouldn't close, by either the red X or choosing Exit in the man menu.

I figured it was a one-time fluke. Well, now I can't get it to close again today. In fact, when I go to update my license code, I click OK and the license dialog doesn't go away. The cancel button worked, but not OK. I cannot close Ninja to restart to make sure my license is updated so I can start using it real time.

Hoping I didn't make a bad decision to test this out for 3 months.

    Hello,

This behavior is usually caused by anti-virus applications which are locking files and preventing us from writing to a specific location when you request an operation.

Do you have anything like AVG, Avast, etc installed? If so, please let me know the name of the security program you're using.

In order for me to help determine why this is occurring, I will need to review your log and trace files from the last date that this occurred.

Please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and include your most recent log and trace files, Attn: Matthew in the Subject line and a reference to this thread.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

        * The log file will be named ‘log.20130110.txt’

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

        * The trace file will be named ‘trace.20130110.txt’

Please attach both of these files to your next response. If these files are over 4MB, please let me know and I can respond with alternative instructions.

What a moron I am: I hid the Ninja folders in the Documents folder and that's why it wasn't working. Once I reversed that, everything works! Duh.....

That'll do it too! Glad you were able to get that sorted out.
