TT connection hangs on login.

today my NT started crashing just after a login. first it hung on a disconnect, then after that everytime i try to logon i actually get a log message saying i'm connected but the staus bar never changes to connected. then it freezes. I renamed the data base and started with a fresh one and it now connects. is there anyway to retrieve the data from the old database? this happened on 6.0.1000.8. i tried installing .9 with the same result and even 6.5. i migrated the database when installing 6.5 and it had the same results

You could try Tools->Options->Misc->Repair on the old DB (before connecting) to see if that makes a difference.

yes I tried that but it didn't work. Is there any difference between using "reset db" and just deleting the exisitng database?
