Market Reply Data Who is the Supplier

In order to Market Replay I must first close out my other connection and then download Market Replay data. I have 2 questions:

1) I am trying to generate Replay data using 800 tick chart, but the charts comes out looking different than another Traders chart. I know tick data can vary from suppliers. So my first question who is suppling the Market Replay Data? Does it come from IB or Kenetics or who?

2) After loading Replay data the button is greyed out. How does one load additional Market Replay Data

1) When download Market Replay Data, the data is download from the NinjaTrader Servers. If recording the data, the data is then from your data provider.

2) You will need to download the data or record it from a live feed in NinjaTrader.

Market Replay works if you have downloaded or recorded market replay data prior to connecting to Market Replay.

Currently I am using IB for my data feed, but its tick data is sampled and does not look right to me. I want unfiltered tick data, but I am still in Sim.

I was thinking about trying Kenetic, but it only supplies historic data, not real time data when only in a sim account.

1) When you say Market Replay data comes from your server. Is that the same as Kenetic Tick Data ?


2) If I signed up for Kenetics and got there historic tick data would I be able to record that historic data and then be able to use it for Market Replay? And would that tick data look different than the current market replay tick data I am getting?

3) Is there a way to know how Kenetics tick data looks before signing up?

Kinetick supplies real time tick data. You will need to subscribe to the exchange to receive real time data from Kinetick.

1) Market Replay data for futures is recorded from Zen-Fire. Market Replay data for Forex is recorded from Gain.

2) You can only record real time data on the charts. Historical data will not be recorded for Market Replay.

3) Kinetick offers historical Daily data as a free service, and as a representative of the type of data that is offered with a monthly subscription. I was surprised when you say Market Replay futures data comes from Zen Fire, because I am trying to match up to a chart another day trader uses and he uses Zen Fire, yet my charts do not match.

1) Should Replay Data using the an 800 tick chart look that much different from live Data using an 800 tick chart?

2) I am not sure the advantage to signing up with Kenetics, if I can not get live data (in sim acct) and I can not replay their tick data. There end of day data is just dailey charts, no tick data. I guess I could pay some exchange fee and get real time tick data, but unless I a missing something that probably cost more than going live with Nija.

2) To receive real time tick data from Kinetick you will just need to sign up for a subscription with Kinetick. You do not need to connect to a live account with your broker.
You can replay tick data from Kinetick. When recording data for Market Replay, only real time data will be recorded. Historical data will not be recorded for Market Replay from any data provider.
Once Record for market replay is enabled, data is recorded for any instrument in any NinjaTrader window that is receiving live market data. Level II (market depth) data is only recorded if a Level II, SuperDOM, or FX Pro window is open and receiving data for the instrument. The Market Analyzer window is the recommended recording window as multiple instruments can be added to one Market Analyzer window and all recorded at the same time.

On any chart where the candles are not based on fixed time quanta, the look of the chart will vary depending on the start date and time, even for identical data sources. Be sure that your chart parameters exactly match those of that which you wish to compare.

When I emailed Kenetics it seems like there response was different. Please Clarify so I can get an accurate picture.

Here was they wrote me:

The $50/mo Basic Service includes historical and delayed data for the ES and 6E, and historical data for the CL contract if you wish to trade in simulation. Real-Time data, though, without a qualifying account in NinjaTrader would require the addition of the real-time exchanges with your account. For the ES and 6E you would want to add the $76/mo CME, and for the CL you can include the $76/mo Nymex exchange. Both are included as part of the waiver program which you can find more information about

1) From what they wrote they made it sound like I would get historic data for CL and I could trade in simulation. But you have made it clear I can not run market replay with historic data nor can I record it. So what they wrote me seems inaccurate. Am I missing something here?

2) In order to get Real Time data with a Nija Sim account it sounds like I would have to pay $76 / month. Being I only want to Replay at this time, I am not sure the advantage to getting Real Time data. In fact it would be cheaper to go to a live Nija account. Again am I missing something?

1) You will receive historical data for every instrument Kinetick supports with a subscription to Kinetick. To record data for Market Replay, the data need to receive real time data in NinjaTrader.

2) I am not sure what you mean by a live account. NinjaTrader is not a data provider.

3) You will have to disconnect from Market Replay to download additional data for Market Replay.

Market Replay works if you have downloaded or recorded market replay data.
