    Hello fliesen,

Could you attach a screenshot of the error with the NinjaScript File Name, Error and description fields clearly readable to your next post?

It sounds like you are missing an Indicator or another indicator is referencing an indicator that you no longer have.

Here is the screenshot, I hope it's clear:

(conditions 3 and 4 are the only occurrences of that Ichimoku indicator responsable for the error. Yet, the strategy worked fine till yesterday]

        Hello fliesen,

Did you remove the "Ichimoku" Indicator from NinjaTrader or modify this strategy recently?

I see other errors which looks like it has been modified. Can you remove the "ReverseBarCODE" strategy and then compile NinjaScript to get back into a compilable state?

To remove the indicator/strategy follow the steps below.

        * In the Control Center -> Tools -> Edit NinjaScript -> Strategies
        * Select the Strategies that you want to remove by left clicking on it.
        * Press the Delete button at the bottom

I removed the mentioned strategy, then all other strategies (except Rev.BarCode) may be perfectly compiled.
The problem occurred after I copied the whole Documents/Ninja Trader 7 directory on this PC from another PC of mine, where everything worked (and is still working) absolutely fine. I often did this in order to update my second PC: why is it different this time, and why only for this one strategy (I have four) ?

            Hello fliesen,

I am not sure why it is different this time than other times. Possible a scanner or backup software was using a file when copying that caused it not to copy that file.

Typically, if you want to copy over your NinjaTrader Files and Settings you may use the Backup Utility for something like this.

You can use the backup and restore feature of NinjaTrader to backup your existing settings from your PC to the new PC like your Template files and workspaces.

However, if you have any 3rd Party Assemblies then you do not want to backup the 3rd party codes (NinjaScript codes) using the backup and restore feature.

Please refer to this YouTube video which further demonstrates how to use the backup and restore feature.

You may export any Indicator or Strategies that you have access to the source code for to easily put them on your new PC by following the step by steps instructions below.

            1. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Export NinjaScript to open the "Export NinjaScript" dialog window
            2. Select the option "Export selected source files"
            3. Enter a user defined file name
            4. Select all of the files that you want to export and either double click on them or press the ">" button
            5. A list of all files that will be exported
            6. Press the "Export" button to export the selected files
            7. A NinjaScript Archive File (.zip) file will be created in My Documents\bin\Custom\ExportNinjaScript
            8. The file can be imported by another NinjaTrader application on a different PC

Here is the link to our Help Guide that goes over this Export process that you may view for more information.

Any Custom Assemblies will have to be installed just like you did on your orginal PC. You may view what Custom Assemblies you have by going to the File -> Utilities -> Remove NinjaScript Assemblies for a list.

You can use the import feature of NinjaTrader to import the 3rd party indicators. Please note you will need a new license key from the 3rd party vendor to run the NinjaScript codes as the machine id will be different from your original PC.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

If I correctly understand, importing the whole and only Ninja Trader 7 folder (of course much simpler) should be ok in normal cases.
If not, I will perform the suggested steps.
Thank you very much for the exaustive explanation.
