While we do not officially support running NinjaTrader on a Mac; we have had many clients run NinjaTrader on Mac hardware. We have specific installation instructions for Parallels and VMWare Fusion which will allow you to run NinjaTrader on your Mac. Below you will find instructions specific to the available options of running NinjaTrader on a Mac computer.

If you are using Parallels 6, please contact us for specific instructions. http://kb.parallels.com/en/4923

Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for Parallels 7 & 8:
When installing NinjaTrader on a Mac using Parallels 7 or 8, users will need to ensure that the following steps have been taken prior to the installation of NinjaTrader.
    1. Start Parallels and select your virtual machine
    2. Press the "Configure" button on the top
    3. Under "Options", select "Sharing"
    4. Uncheck "Share Mac" under "Share Mac User Folders with Windows"
    5. Press "OK" and start the virtual machine
Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for VMWare Fusion:
When configuring NinjaTrader on a Mac running VMWare, users will need to ensure that the following steps have been taken prior to the installation of NinjaTrader.
    1. Start VMWare and select your virtual machine
    2. Press the "Settings" button on the bottom
    3. Under "System Settings", select "Sharing"
    4. Uncheck "Documents" from the "Mirrored Folders" list
    5. Close the "Settings" window and start the virtual machine
Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for Apple Boot Camp:
When configuring NinjaTrader on a Mac running Apple Boot Camp, there are no special instructions needed.

Unfortunately, running NinjaTrader on a Linux PC is currently not supported. I will, however, forward a suggestion to support Linux on to my development team for further consideration.

While running NinjaTrader on a Linux PC is not supported, it is possible. Please see the following link to our Support Forum for more information:

Can you answer on following: on your website you have information that on NT you can trade forex, stocks and futures. And what about CFDs, options, binary options and forwards? Thanks for the reply

as far as I understand NT supports only english language?

Close at time - what does thos order mean?

Simulated order - I can use it on live account and it will be executed as a demo order or no?

What is the difference between static and dynamic DOM?

                    1. Currently NinjaTrader is only offered in English however we appreciate your feedback and have assigned this feature request ID #1688 in our tracking system.

                    2. This will close the order out at Market at the time input under Tools-->Options-->Misc. tab.

                    3. A Simulated Order is an order held locally on your PC until triggered which at that time is then submitted to the broker for execution. I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Simulated Orders:

To submit order to a simulation account the Sim101 account may be used within NinjaTrader.

                    4. I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over the difference between the Dynamic and Static SuperDOM in depth:
