    Migrating scripts to new installation

What's the best way to migrate custom scripts (strategies and indicators) from one installation of NT7.0.10 to another NT7.0.11?

When I just copy the folder, i have to recompile each script. That's time consuming. Any shorter way?

Is there a compiled scripts folder that I can copy over?

    Hello,

You will only have to run the compile once from any indicator or strategy. If the script compiles properly then all of them have been compiled. NinjaTrader always compiles all indicators and strategies - not just one. This is done to give you the highest runtime performance possible.

Also note, if this is on the same computer you will not have to migrate the files as NinjaTrader will not delete the old files in the upgrade process.

You can export all your custom scripts by going to File -> utilites -> Export NinjaScript

You would import in the same manor

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

      Hi Lance,
That's a relief. I thought each had to be recompiled. phew.

This is a new install not upgrade.

      Regards.
