    TICK no historydata

    Greetings,

    I'm getting data, but no history, only present Tick bar, and some entry and exit jibrish!!

    Thank you for writing in.

    First, please roll over the ES 12-12 contract to the current expiry, ES 03-13 by doing the following:
    • From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
    • Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
    • Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
    • Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date



    You will then want to load the new expiry on the chart you are looking at by selecting it from instrument drop down menu on the Chart Tool Bar at the top of the screen (currently reads ES 12-12).

    Also, who are you connected to for data? This can be confirmed by locating the green connection box in the lower left hand corner of the NinjaTrader control center. Please let me know what this box reads.

    Last, you may remove the plotting of executions (the "jibrish") from your chart, by doing the following:
    • Right click in your chart and select the menu "Data Series..."
    • Find the "Plot executions" parameter for each data series and change the value to "DoNotPlot"
    • Press the "OK" button

        Hello Karado58,

        Thanks for confirming your data provider. Interactive Brokers does not offer Historical Tick data for NinjaTrader and as a result, you will not receive historical tick data on your charts. You may record all chart data while NinjaTrader is open and connected to Interactive Brokers, and the desired instrument(s) are either charted or open in the Market Analyzer. Please ensure this option is selected by:
