Where are the trading data, charting, and workspaces info stored?

Hi

I'm going to format my hard drive and reinstall my software. I just want to make sure I have my trading data in NT7 backed up. I did this before and copied the Ninja Trader 7 folder from the Programs folder, but as I recall the data was stored somewhere else and I lost it. A bummer. Thanks for your help.

One other thing. Did you guys ever get around to creating a way to retrieve trading data if this file is lost or accidentally deleted? It would be easy to do. Thanks.

I guess I found it now.

C:\-->Users-->*Windows useraccount*-->My Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db

I had backed up the AppData file and the program file, but missed the My Documents folder. Is NinjaTrader.sdf the trading data file?

But I am wondering about restoring the data if it's lost. Thanks.

Yes, that NinjaTrader.sdf is the database file that contains all of the trading data, and it is located in the (My) Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> db folder.

When you connect to your live account NinjaTrader will download recent trade data, but trades made in the Sim101 account will not be restored.

If you know the execution prices you may add executions by going to the Executions tab, right click, select Add, and the enter in the execution information.

You may also backup NinjaTrader using the built in Backup Utility by going to File -> Utilities -> Backup. Note that you must disconnect from all data providers first.
