using market replay

I don't think I understand this feature. I would like to be able to preserve and replay the data, display i see, and trades I make. That way I could analyze what I did and figure out what I did wrong. Just like you can analyze a chess game after its over by replaying the moves. That's how you get better.
When I try to connect to market replay it says no data. I am not sure how to use this feature.
Is this what market replay is for and how do I get it to do what I want?

I have just found /options/data/ "record for market data"

That is probably the answer.
