A pair questions about Instrument Manager

Hello. I've found that in the "Instrument Mananer" for "CL - Light Sweet Crude Oil" in section Exchanges (long list on right side) "Nymex" as a value. But on the official CMEGroup site for this Instrument is "CME Globex" and "CME ClearPort" as a Venue.

Because of this my questions:

1. How important it is to set the correct parameters in the section Exchanges or it is not a critical?

2.What will happen if I set ClearPort or Globex and deleted Nymex in section "Exchanges" for "CL - Light Sweet Crude Oil"? Will trade for this instrument possible?

Hello. I use IQFeed as a historical data provider and zen-fire as a real-time data provider.

Thanks for clarifying.

NYMEX would be the correct exchange setting for both providers based on my testing. I'd recommend contacting your data providers for more information as to how exactly the data is being routed.
