    FXCM (error: cant load historical data)

    Hi,

    I am having difficulties in loading FXCM data on demo account, I have emailed them and been advised to reset instruments in tools, get rid of template and re connect. I have done this and can say everything works up to the 60 minute chart, everything above I get the error again regarding the data not being able to load.

    Please help I have tried resetting the instruments etc.

    Thank you for your post.

    Which version of NinjaTrader are you using? (Help > About)

    Please restart your PC, modem and router then try loading the charts again - do you encounter the same error?

      Hi Kyle

      Yes I have tried installing most recent and one prior. I have also restarted PC Modem etc.

      Still has same issue, data stops at 60 mins (seems to load for a few days) than nothing.

        How many days of data are requested in that chart?

          Hi,
          For 2hr chart you get only four days no matter how many more you specify. And another strange thing is that I cannot backtest even with 1 day series even though there is no problem loading the daily chart. At the start of the backtesting a warning will go up saying it cannot load historical data from FXCM.

            In your message, please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. The file I need would be found in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder and is named 'trace.20130217.txt'.
