Order exceeded available account equity error

    Hi,

I keep getting this error when trying to run two strategies on the simulated account Sim101.
My broker is IB. Two instruments I'm trading is 200 000 USDJPY and 200 000 GBPUSD.
I've increased the cash value of the sim. account to 900 000 , but it did not help. PLease see attached my sim. account settings.

I can trade only 200 000 GBPUSD with automated strategy.
The message when I attempt to buy a GC contract having a GBPUSD position is:
"IB, Order has exceeded available account equity: Please reduce order size affected Order: Buy 1 Limit @ 1742"
Is this generated by IB. If so ,why as I'm trading simulated account with IB only as data provider?

In this case, please email us the files needed directly to support at ninjatrader dot com

You can find them in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace / Log folders with today's date as part of the filename.

We will then review and get back to you.

You can reset the sim101 account to solve such rejection errors.

Please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab. Enter the values you like on the left side and click the Reset button on the right side. More information can be found at the link below.

I have the same Message here, again.
And just about 2 weeks ago I had it also, so I
                    - did a reset of my simulation account (without Clear history)
                    - raised my account to 500.000.000,=, I thought that should be enough...
Today I got this message again!
Please tell me how to fix this forever.

Unfortunately it cannot be fixed "forever". The rejection error indicates there is not enough account equity to process the order. To resolve this rejection error, you will need to reset the sim101 account again with new funds.

Well, to be honest, that was not the answer I was hoping for.
As I said in my post: I just did a reset a few weeks ago, so that can't be the problem/solution.
And I raised my account to 500.000.000,= !
I'm sorry if I am reacting a bit dissappointed, but I had this problem often and I think it's a bug or something. Because it doesn't make any sense.

And when I reset my account, I loose all the strategies. Or am I doing something wrong?
Or do I also have to check on Clear History?

Resetting the sim101 account will not affect your strategies. It will only reset the sim101 account as per the values you enter.

What funds are currently reflected in the sim101 account? You can check this at Control Center-->Accounts-tab.

I assume the sim101 trades of the last few weeks reduced the funds in the sim101 account that much, so the rejection error is justified.

Every time when I reset my sim101 account, all my strategies disappear.

In my sim101 I see a Cash Value of: 499.999.033,= dollars, so there's enough left to trade.

                              Thank you for clarifying.

Can you please send me your log and trace files, so I can investigate. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support. Put 'Att Jason, Order exceeded available account equity error' in the subject header and enable 'Log and trace files'.

Could it be you refer to the trade history of our strategies? Strategies itself (ATM or automated strategies) should not be removed upon resetting the sim101 account.
