    Cannot Cancel Pending Orders

    Hi guys,

    I've had one pending order since July that I cannot cancel on the orders tab. now another one came up and I cannot cancel as well. Is there a way for NinjaTrader administrator to go in my account and cancel those orders manually?
    Im using NT 7.0.1000.6 (Live) - Windows 7.

    Both Orders are in the Sim101 account so no big deal however every time I try closing it asks me about these pending orders.

    Thanks for your post.

    Please shut down NinjaTrader and upgrade to the current 7.0.1000.11 release via this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration

    After upgrading, please reset NinjaTrader's simulation account:
    Open the Options menu (Tools > Options)
    Navigate to the Simulator tab, click Reset Simulator.
    Restart NinjaTrader to complete the change.

      Can't cancel live order

      I have a live stop limit order I can't cancel.
      The order was entered several days ago & Ninja crashed since then & I've restarted.
      I also think I cancelled it before Ninja crashed.
      Was shocked to see that it entered a position today & after I got out of that position I see the order is still pending probably waiting to re-enter.

      I'm using 7.0.1000.10 & IB so can't upgrade to 7.0.1000.11.

      Any ideas?

        Hello,

        Please contact your broker immediately for handling any live orders.

        IB is now compatable with the newest version 7.0.1000.11.

        After resolving any live order issues with your broker, please shut down NinjaTrader and upgrade to the current 7.0.1000.11 release via this link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration
        To obtain your license key: Control Center-> Help -> License Key...

          IB Version for 7.0.1000.11

          Lance,
          Do I have to upgrade IB TWS as well? Currently on Build 921.5, Nov 23, 2011 5:02:28 PM.

              I followed these instructions to Reset Simulator (I also have an order pending that I have not been able to cancel) and I get a message that it is "Not Responding". Then I hit cancel and it closes Ninjatrader.

                If NinjaTrader is not responding when resetting the simulation account, please first try repairing your database, and then reset the simulation account.


                Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.
                • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
                • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
                • Select the "Data" tab
                • Press the "Repair DB" button
                • Press the "OK" button


                Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.
                • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
                • Select the "Simulator" tab
                • Press the "Reset" button




                Please let me know if you need further assistance.

                  The database repair was completed successfully. I still cannot reset the simulation account. It immediately says "Not Responding" and stays that way until I hit cancel and Ninjatrader shuts down. Any other ideas? Thanks...

                    Please follow the instructions below to reset the NinjaTrader database.
                    • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
                    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
                    • Select the "Data" tab
                    • Press the "Reset DB" button (Note the warning and click yes)
                    • Press the "OK" button

                    Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.
                    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
                    • Select the "Simulator" tab
                    • Press the "Reset" button

                    If you are still unable to reset the simulator, Please send me your log and trace files for today so that I may look into what occurred.
                    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.
