    cqg data

good day, it seems that your servers not record data, historical data reloaded after running a current bar, missing everything from 4:55 gmt.

    Hello pepazdep,

Yes, I can reproduce the gap on my end as well. I have sent an email to development. Once there is news regarding the matter, I will let you know.

The historical data has been reset and it records historical data again starting 3:58 AM EST.

The missing historical data will be restored during next weekend's server maintenance.

            A 4.5hr gap in all NT/CQG Charts?

I leave my PC on 5/24, meaning I would have had this historical data in my NT data cache. Not having traded the London session, and, because of other NT quirks, before I start NY session trading, I rebooted my PC and now see a 4.5hr gap in all instrument charts. There should be a way within NT to 1) warn users of this or 2) have a local rolling backup of data in place, that a user could call upon when the NT CQG servers have gapped or hiccuped.

That means trendlines are now completely invalid on all charts one would use for trading the NY session from 4am EST onwards. And, we don't know what levels have been tested or touched for a 4.5hr period, in any instrument. I can't even assume I am seeing actual highs/lows displayed on my charts. This completely results in an very unhealthy chart environment, and to wait 4 days for data restoration is unacceptable and becomes almost useless at that point.

It is my hope that you are able to improve the historical recording ability and issue notification process when the NT CQG historical servers do this, so that data holes can be resolved in more of a real-time mode.

Your suggestion to improve handling during outage of the historical data server has been added to the list. It has been added to ID# 1623.

You could obtain a subscription for a supported data feed provider such as Kinetick, which can be used as backup. Please visit www.kinetick.com for more detailed information.
