Charting Problems

Hi

I am having trouble getting charts for cotton (CT), Lean Hogs (HE), Live Cattle (LE) and Sugar (SB). All other charts like the currencies, indicies, grains all work. Why can I not get these other ones to work?? I noticed that on the right side of the chart price will only show from 0 to 0.01 in cotton for example which is the minimum tick size for the cotton contract. Not sure what is going wrong here....please help!!

With Zen-fire not all instruments would have historical data available for them. Likely these instruments do not as I believe I remember hogs and live cattle as not being available except for real-time quotes. You may want to consider getting a 3rd party connection provider to offer supplementary data.

I just have added CME and CBOT emini via kinetick. My ninja trader is a simulation type. I cant open any futures chart yet! Please advice.

Which symbol are you attempting to load data for? Does an error trigger as you attempt to load data? If so, what does that error report?

Can you tell me what charts can i have with CME exchange and CBOT emini? I managed to load ES after checking under Tools, instrument manager. Is that what we have to do before opening a chart?

I'm not clear which option you'd changed in the Instrument Manager - can you clarify?

under instrument manager, choose the future, click edit, under exchanges, choose CME besides GLOBEX. Thats what i did.

Thanks for clarifying.

If the existing exchange setting did not suffice for your current data authorizations as you've outlined here you may need to make a change like this. Many symbols should function with their default settings however.

I opened a ES chart 03-13, but the closing price was the same as ES 12-12, how come?

Hello,

This is because of how NinjaTrader is set to merge and back-adjust data - by default, NinjaTrader would not provide 03-13 data until mid December.

To display 03-13 data:
Open the Options menu (Tools > Options) then navigate to the Data tab.
Set 'Merge Policy' to 'DoNotMerge' then click OK.
