Use of present bars

Hello,

As I understand, indicators are calculated using closed bars. But the value of the present bar is not included on the calculation. IS there any way to have a kind of provisionary value of the indicator on the present bar before it's close?

Hello guillembm,

Yes, please set 'Calculate on bar close' to False. That way the indicator/strategy is calculated on each incoming tick instead of the close of a bar.

As I read on the help guide the only issue I can have setting it to false is that this is CPU intensive. Anything else has to be considered?

Unfortunately there is nothing else. The 'Calculate on bar close' setting determines how indicators/strategies are calculated. If set to True, they will be calculated at the close of a bar. If set to False, they will be calculated on each incoming tick (so including the current bar).
