No, does not recognize it.

IB does not recognize the following pairs:

USD.TRY
USD.ZAR
XAG.USD
XAU.AUD
XAU.CHF
XAU.EUR
XAU.GBP
XAU.USD
XAU.JPY

Unfortunately I am getting the same results.

I would suggest further clarifying the matter with Interactive Brokers and see if they still supports the instruments or not. If they supports it then please clarify for the correct IB symbol.
