Zig Zag help

Hi,

The zig zag uses the close to calculate swings. Can I use lows or highs instead? I do not see that option in properties. Thanks!

Thanks for your post.

Yes, you may use highs or lows to calculate the ZigZag indicator.

To do this right click on your chart and select Indicators
Select the ZigZag indicator
Select the Input Series then the "..." button
Under your instrument you will now be able to select High or Low

Another question: I would like to assign the "Deviation Value" under zig zag to another indicator value. For example, say I want the ATR(20) output to be the "deviation value" for zig zag. Is this possible?

Adjusting the Deviation Value would require custom NinjaScript.

Zig Zag Percent

I was checking out the zigzag indicator on stockcharts.com. and it appears to be a percentage based. The Zig Zag included in NT has this option as well.

One thing that is different between the Stockcharts one and the NT one is that the percentage is fixed in NT version where as in Stockcharts one it is adaptive (i.e., automatic). I am wondering if there is any way to make the NT version of the Zig Zag the similar to the Stockcharts one?
