The zig zag uses the close to calculate swings. Can I use lows or highs instead? I do not see that option in properties. Thanks!

Hello Stok,
Thanks for your post.
Yes, you may use highs or lows to calculate the ZigZag indicator.
To do this right click on your chart and select Indicators
Select the ZigZag indicator
Select the Input Series then the "..." button
Under your instrument you will now be able to select High or Low
Below I have provided a link to the How to edit an indicator's parameters section of our help guide.
If there is anything further I may assist you with don't hesitate to ask.

Zig Zag Percent
I was checking out the zigzag indicator on stockcharts.com. and it appears to be a percentage based. The Zig Zag included in NT has this option as well.
One thing that is different between the Stockcharts one and the NT one is that the percentage is fixed in NT version where as in Stockcharts one it is adaptive (i.e., automatic). I am wondering if there is any way to make the NT version of the Zig Zag the similar to the Stockcharts one?
Thanks,

Hello kundu2012,
This is possible however custom programming would be required. If you are not a programmer yourself any of the NinjaScript consultants listed at the following link could code this project for you: http://www.ninjatrader.com/partners....pt-ConsultantsKyleNinjaTrader Customer Service
