I would like to set a daily stoploss and daily target for the strategy and then let it run multiple days without stopping and restarting the strategy. Can you give me some advice how I would go about resetting the daily limits each day?

You may use the FirstBarOfSession to be to set a new Stop Loss and Profit target for each new day/session, for a reference sample you may view the following link.
