Saving drawing tool lines on chart

When I add draw tools to my chart then close the chart window they dissapear. How can I save them to my chart?

Drawing objects are saved as a part of the workspace.

• Control Center > File > Workspaces... > Save Workspace or Save Workspace As...

when I click save workspace it saves my indices but my drawing tools are not saved (fibonacci retracement and trend channel.

have tried this several times

For sake of a test, please add one new line to your chart then save by clicking File > Workspaces > Save Workspace. Finally, restart NinjaTrader - does the added line remain?

strange - I do click File > Workspaces > Save Workspace.
but when I click exit program it asks me again to save -
then when open it has saved the lines.

so how to save them and keeping the program open?

You can save while keeping NinjaTrader open by simply clicking FIle > Workspaces > Save Workspace after adding the drawing object.

that approach is not saving the drawing tools.
Only when I exit the software and tell it to save the workspace for a second time.
is that how it is supposed to work?

What steps are you taking after saving but before restarting NinjaTrader which do not seem to work out? I don't understand what steps you're taking after saving but before restarting.

after I click 'save workspaces' I click file > exit
it then prompts me, 'do you want to save your workspace'
if I click no, when I exit and reopen the software the saved drawing tools are not showing.
if I click yes, the tools appear when the software is opened again.

the question is, am I needing to double save the workspace - once from the control center and once upon exiting the software?
