Crosshair

What is the easiest way to measure the number of pips between 2 points on a chart. In MT4 they have a tool called Crosshair which is very helpful. Is there something equivalent to that in NT?

Right click on the chart, select CURSOR, then you have 3 options.

Hot keys are listed there too. Does this help?

Yes I could see the Crosshair.
The Crosshair is giving me x and y coordinates, time and price, but if I drag from point A to point B, it's not giving me the distance between both the points in pips.

I hope I made my self clear. Please let me know if I am missing something.

Simple Pip/Tick Measurement.

Hi,

I am using NT7 and am trying to measure the pip/tick distance between two points, as per this original post, and the link here is no longer working [or valid?] for NT7.

I have tried using the ruler but am still unable to get the tick/pip measurement.

Is there a simple, and quick, way to do this?

Hello Amerozzy,

Thanks for your post.

To do this with the ruler click on the Drawing Tools button, go to Snap Mode, and select Bar and Price
Select the 2 points you want to measure on the chart and a 3rd point to place the marker
On the market you will see Y Value which will display the difference between the 2 points
