    Ninja trader forced close

    Hey.

    I just went to trade on a new laptop as its the only thing I have right now where I am.

    I downloaded TWS and already had NT.

    When I open NT, input my password, NT and TWS open up as per usual. About 10-20 seconds later I get a NT message saying:

    "TWS forced your connection to close. Ninja Trader is unable to automatically reconnect. Please shut down Ninja Trader and reconnect manually to TWS: No more data to read."

    TWS: 921.5 (Initially tried the newest version available for DL on IB)

    Its not a big deal as I will be back to my original setup tomorrow, but I would like to know how to fix this.

    Thanks for writing in and I am happy to assist you.

    To connect NinjaTrader with Interactive Broker please do make sure:

    You are using the latest version of NinjaTrader (the current version is 7.0.1000.11). You can get the information from, in Control Center menu bar go to Help>About and look for the version info at the top. If you are not using the latest version please download it from here http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php


    Please make sure you are using TWS version 927.7. You can download TWS version 927.7 from here http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_927_7.exe

    Once you have the compatible version installed, you need to make an account connection in NinjaTrader and configure TWS. To do it please follow the steps as mentioned here

      Hi

      I have a account with IB (TWS ver 934.5), I cannot connect data to NT 7.0.1000.7
      do I need to downgrade my IB version in order for it to work?

      Hope you can help me please

        Hello,

        Thank you for your post.

        Please proceed as outlined in Post 2 - those steps will help you to install the current recommended versions of both NinjaTrader and TWS. If you encounter further issues with NT 7.0.1000.11 and TWS 927.7, please let me know.
