Questions about trailing

Hi, I'm noob at Ninja, can you explain me a little about trailing orders. Can I modify my stop order to the trailing like here in auto trail section http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...gement_atm.htm but from the chart directly (without DOM)?

I see also it's impossible to modify stop orders when they were placed without ATM, but what's the problem with that? Sometimes I want to enter position without stop and that means I can't place the trailing after, not too useful imo...

Unfortunately you can only apply trailing stop strategies to stop loss orders part of an ATM strategy. You cannot apply it when submitting orders manually. However you can manually adjust the order. Please see the link below for instructions to modify orders in ChartTrader.

You can enable a stop strategy in ChartTrader as well. Please click the '...' button to open the ATM strategy window. Here you can select or setup a stop strategy such as an AutoTrail strategy.

It is not possible to apply a stop strategy to an existing stop loss that was submitted without a trailing stop strategy in ChartTrader. This is only possible in the SuperDOM. You would right click the stop loss order in the buy or sell column (next to size marker) and select 'AutoTrail Properties'. Configure the AutoTrail stop strategy as you like and click Ok. Right click the order again and enable 'AutoTrail'.
