minute charts distinguishes from tick charts. ib prob?

Hello,

I often see that my chart, esp. FDAX is missing ticks. I then have other highs and lows like yesterday or today.

yesterday low minute chart (21:25) - 7266, tick chart - 7270

today high minute chart (10:11) - 7337, tick chart 7336

What is the problem of this? Is it an IB problem?

Hello unitrade,

Unfortunately you cannot reload historical data in the tick charts because historical tick data is not supported with IB. NinjaTrader will receive real-time data from the connected data feed.

Did you receive real-time data in the tick chart at the times of the Low and High of the minute chart?

You could manually add historical tick data in the Historical Data Manager so the tick chart will reflect the Low and high as well. You can fin dinstructions to manually add historical data at the link below.

yes.

That´s not the first time this happens. I have a live account with you. And sometimes it happens that I get stopped out at a new high/low but I don´t see it on the chart.

I and not sure at the moment but I think this was happening also in minute chart.

Do you perhaps have the real-time tick filter enabled in NinjaTrader at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab?

Please note that NinjaTrader does not have control on executions. Orders execute as per market dynamics.

Could it be you are referring to buy forex orders? Please note that forex charts are build by the bid price. Buy orders execute at the ask price. So it could seem the market did not touch the buy order price.

it´s enabled. And this happened trading the FDAX.
New high - I got filled - but didn´t see it on my NT-chart. IB chart was correct.

Sounds good. What value do you have entered for the real-time tick filter?

For example, a value of of 5 represents 5 %. So if a real-time tick is outside the range of 5 % compared the tick received prior, it will be excluded.
