Market analyzer newbie question

Hi
i just started using ninja trader.
chart works fine.
problem is with market analyzer it does not display anything other than Symbol name(instrument)

Can someone help me
im from india so i imported NSE data, chart is fine and good but analyzer not working.
so i went and tested NASDAQ 100, same thing just the instrument name is there nothing any columns

Can some one please help me ?

Hello,

Thanks for the note.

If you need to add columns you can right click on the market analyzer and select columns to add columns.

If the column is there but there is no data for the instrument you have set then this may be due to the market analyzer requiring live data.

The Market analyzer will only display live data after a live tick comes in, it sounds like you imported in historical data which unfortunately would not display in the market analyzer.

Yes im checking with EOD or historical data

what about older versions like 6.5 ?

You can chart EOD no problem. Market analyzer is for live only.

Just curious, how would you even use the Market Analyzer on historical data (if it were possible)? It seems like by design it would only be useful on live data.

So to confirm - for the Market Analyzer we can't use Daily interval instead of Minute because the end of the day isn't live data? i.e. Checking at 4 PM with daily data...

I ask because I was having issues and came across this thread..

Correct however this is only the case on End Of Day free feeds onlys. If you have a live daily feed with live market data then the market analyzer would operate.
