Open positions in Forex

Hello,

Is it possible to program a strategy and apply it to Forex? I mean, my broker is IB and in a typical strategy for example with futures when in the code you write: "Enter Long", it buys one future contract, but in the case of Forex with IB you decide if you want to buy 1k, 10k or whatever you want.

Is there a way to specify this in the code?

Hi Daniel, yes FX spot trading would be possible via automated NinjaScript strategies as well - you would enter then your unitsize as qty - for example 10000 for a minilot.

Hello, Can you please give an example of a automated Strategy for forex?

You can for example run our with NT shipped SampleMACrossOver strategy on your FX spot symbol (for example $EURUSD, daily data for free available with our Kinetick connection inbuild, see my signature).

This will show a basic moving average crossover strategy that will reverse it's positions with each signal, the parameters used for the SMA's could be adjusted by the user.
