Range Indicator

Hi, I am probably doing something wrong or not understanding how it works but...

...I have a Range Indicator in a MA column based on the current Weekly bar so not based on Close, but the figure differs from the indicator (same settings) on the chart.

Think I have worked out that Range only applies to Intraday although it allows you to change the period?

Can you please send a screenshot depicting the scenario.

Also please please send a screenshot of the settings of the indicator.

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

The Range indicator works on all periodicity. It just measures the high and the low of the bar.

As you will see the Weekly Range is OK on weekly chart but in MA show same as Daily. The ATR is correct for both.

If you increase the "#of bars to look back" property from 1 to say 5 then can you get the correct value.

Does that means it needs 5 days not bars to work back?

The ATR is out by a few pips though not a problem probably due to rounding.

Hello Alan,
I can get the correct value with 2 bars also. I suppose it is how the bars are referenced in case of a weekly bar series.
