How can I restore the chart without having to rebuild it from scratch? I'm new to NT and have not yet done a backup. The workspace has not been closed or saved since having closed the chart in question.

Restore Chart Closed In Error
The "minimize", "maximize" and "close" boxes in the upper-right-hand corner of a chart did not display after applying a change to an indicator, and I guessed as to where to click, and inadvertently closed the chart.

Hello ducks,
Thank you for posting.
Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve an unsaved chart that has been closed prior to the saving of a workspace or as a chart template. However, if you had saved the workspace prior to closing the window, you can shut down NinjaTrader, choose not to save the workspace while closing, and restart NinjaTrader. This will result in any changes to your charts and workspace being rolled back to the last save point. If you had worked on the chart previously and saved prior to that close, it will bring your charts back to the last save point.
With that said, I recommend you save regularly and also create chart templates of commonly used chart set-ups by:
- Right Click Your Chart > Templates > Save As...
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
