eSignal 11 & Ninja Trader 7

    eSignal 11 & Ninja Trader 7

    Hi,

    I have eSignal 11.4 installed on my PC.
    I am having issuing connecting it to NT7.
    I get the attached error message (IMPLODE.DLL was not found)

    I done a quick search on the NT support forum, and I found this:

    You must have eSignal 10.6.2124 installed & Open NT7 in 32bit

    Does this mean that NT7 does not support eSignal 11? eSignal 11 was launched over a year ago...
    Also, how do you open NT7 in 32bit?

    Correct, eSignal 11 is unfortunately not supported. You will need to have version 10.6.2124 which you download from our eSignal connection guide at the link below.


    When NinjaTrader 7 is installed on a 64 bit operating system, it will install two icons. One is specified with '64 bit', which will run NinjaTrader 7 in 64 bit. The other icon (without '64 bit') will run NinjaTrader in 32 bit.

      Hi Jason,

      Thanks for the quick reply.
      I assume that I am already running NT7 in 32bit because I only see one icon. I am also running Windows XP. Would that be a fair assumption?

      Will eSignal 11 be supported by NT7 in the near future? I much prefer v11 to the old v10.

        Yes, if you always had one icon, you likely have a 32 bit operating system. You can double check at Windows Control Panel-->System and it should display if you have a 32 or 64 bit OS.

        Unfortunately I do not have information if and when we will support a later version of eSignal.

          Hi star_trader,
          I have installed on the PC version of the two 32 bit eSignal 10 and 11, and NT 7.0.1000.11 (32 bit) . Try it, it works for me perfectly

            Hi, I have the same problem, I get the error

            unable to connect to level 2 host.

            Yno in connecting with eSignal.

            Please you can help me.

              Hello optimuss,

              This occurs when your eSignal account is not entitled for level 2 (market depth) data. You must change your eSignal account connection in NinjaTrader by performing the following steps.

              -From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Account Connections
              -Select your eSignal connection and press the "Change" button
              -Press the "Next" button several times until you reach the screen which holds your eSignal account information
              -Remove all text from the field "Level II server host" so that it is blank
              -Press the "Next" button and then the "Finish" button
              -Restart NinjaTrader and connect to your eSignal account

                Any update on Ninjatrader compatibility with later versions of esignal? eSignal is now at version 12.

                  Thanks for your post.

                  Our upcoming NT8 will for sure support version 11, however we're still looking in support for version 12.

                  The following has so far been confirmed for NT8:
                  64-bit support
                  Supports full 10 levels of market depth on futures
                  Improved pre/post market real-time data
