Hot keys stopped working

Hello,

My hot keys stopped working for my drawing tools. I didn't change anything, but I noticed when I went into the hot keys manager, it said when I exited the hotkeys don't work when a screen has modal focus. What does that mean and how do I get them back working?

Thank you for your post.

Hot Keys are window sensitive. This means that Hot Keys will only work when the active window is selected. So your drawing object hot keys will only work when a chart is the active window.

I understand that a window has to be active. What is the modal focus thing? Go change a hot key in the hot key mgr and see the message for yourself. Still broken.

Modal focus simply means that the window is actively selected. For example, if you left click in a chart, that window then has modal focus.

All of my chart hot keys seem to work accept one. ctrl+c does not work to copy a drawn line on any chart that is activated. I have to highlight the line, right click copy, deactivate the line, right click paste. What might be the problem with the short cut.

Thank you for your post.

You must left click on the drawing object > then CTRL+C > then left click on the chart > CTRL+V > it will not paste where you cursor is but will paste next to the previously drawn object.
