    Hello bdelorm,

Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.

From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
    Select the "Simulator" tab
    Press the "Reset" button

          I don't see a 'Reset' button.

I have attempted this 2 times now once while connected to an account and once while connected to no account and both times NT8 freezes and the only way out is to close the program. Is this a known bug?

                Hello WeyldFalcon,

Is the CPU and disk usage high? This could be indicating that there are a great deal of trades being removed from the db which takes some time.

I will test tonight once the trading day is done and just let it sit if CPU is high. Thanks for the suggestion. How long would it take to clear say a years worth of data?

                    Hello WeyldFalcon,

On a really slow computer hard drive and CPU maybe a few hours? On a faster computer maybe a few minutes?

It like asking how long it takes to run 10 miles. Some people do it faster than others.

It took about 7 min on a medium-speed gaming rig.

when I look in ninjatrader desktop, I have 2 simulation connections, Sim101 ($100k) and DEMOXXX ($50k). I can reset the Sim101 one but I have been trading with the DEMOXXX one. What are these 2 simulation connections? Since I am a beginner, I would like to be able to reset my account to clear out the garbage trades I am making.

Note, I tried the desktop on my (very old x86) mac in a VM and it is mostly unusable due to frequent "lost connection" announcements and slowness. So I have switched to web.
