Importing stock list

Hello,

As I'm interested in testing strategies for stocks on the OTC Market, as well as those on the NASDAQ, so I was wondering if there was an easy way to change the default tick size?

OTC Market stocks use a tick size of .0001, and I've even seen NASDAQ stocks trade as far out as the fourth decimal place (though less common than the OTCBB).

A solution to this issue would be extremely appreciated!

Thank you for your post and welcome to our forums!

Unfortunately there is not a way to mass change the tick size such as when you're importing the stock list.

You will need to edit each stock one at a time.

I will have the ability to mass edit the tick size as well as other properties from the Instrument Manager forwarded to our product development team to consider improving in a future version.

Once I have a tracking ID for this feature request, I will let you know by updating this thread.

By any chance, can you tell me how to backup the Instrument Manager, as I have gone through and manually changed ~7k stocks to the correct tick size and do not want to lose my changes if something were to happen.

The instrument settings are saved in your database.

You can back this up by going to File--> Utilities--> Backup and ensure you have checked "Database"
