    Chart Trader P&L display

    There seems to be a delay, often several minutes, from closing a live trade and having the P&L on Chart Trader window to show. $0.00 will be displayed for some time after the trade is closed even when there was already a value there before. In such case I have to open my IB-TWS to see the recent P&L.
    Also once the right amount is displayed, it tends to change marginaly (in cents value) during the day.

    Thank you for your post.

    So I may investigate this matter further please answer a few questions.

    What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)

    What version of TWS are you using? You can check under TWS -> Help -> About -> Scroll to the Build #

    Does this occur on Equities, Forex and Futures instruments?

    Does the Realized PnL show correctly after the trade on the Accounts tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center?

      I am using 64-bit NT 7.0.1000.10 (live),
      TWS build 921.5.
      The realized P&L shows correctly +/- $1.00 probably, due to rounding.

        Does this occur on all instrument types (Equities, Forex and Futures) or just one?

        Do you see a delay in the update of the Realized PnL on the Accounts tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center?

          I am trading futures only, and just one instrument.
          To check the Realized P&L in my NT Accounts tab, I'll have to wait till tomorrow for the market to open.
          I'll let you know.

              Hi Patrick
              I trade NG 09-12 right now ( I only trade NG), the problem has been occuring for a long time (months). I have been ignoring it.
              The delay in Realized P&L happens in Accounts tab as well.

                Please upgrade TWS to version 927.7 from the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_927_7.exe

                Please let me know if you continue to see this item after upgrading to TWS 927.7.

                  Hi Patric.
                  I upgraded to newer version TWS as you suggested.
                  After the first trade the Realized P&L on both Chart Trader and Account tab worked fine.
                  After the second trade I just made it lagged again for about 2 minutes.

                      Sending email via Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support, is failing. This has always been the case. Do I need to make some adjustments to my NT so I don't have to copy and paste logs manualy?

                            Thanks for clarifying.

                            In order to send via Gmail, you'll need to make some changes to the settings which are in place in the Misc tab of the Options menu. (Tools > Options > Misc)

                            Please see the attached image for the settings to use. Please note in the screen shot the user name does NOT contain the "@gmail.com".

                              Has this been fixed?

                              I'm trading with Interactive Brokers and have the same problem where PnL is not displayed in chart trader. It will show PnL while in trade, but once the targets are hit the PnL goes to zero. Occasionally like 2 hours after the trade it may display something.

                              Considering that the first post about this was in 2012, has this been fixed at all?
