IronBeam, TT, Not Seeing Accoutn Balance

    IronBeam, TT, Not Seeing Accoutn Balance

    I am able to get the data feeds and make trades, but I am not able to see my account balance. Also the next day when I log in the p and l from yesterday will have vanished too. Is this a ninjatrader or broker issue?

    Hello Michael1,

    What account balances are shown is going to depend on the brokerage technology and what they support through their API. Please see the following link for more information and a list of what account balances each brokerage technology supports.

      Is there a way to enter trades manually into a ninjatrade sim account so I can have ninjatrader calculate all my #'s (avg trade, etc)

        Hello Michael1,

        You can go to the Executions tab, right click then select Add.., and then define the trade information if you would like to have it show up in the Account Performance tab. See the following link for more information under "How to add executions".

          Can I use the group accounts feature to group my Sim account with my live account and see the trades that way, or can you not group live and Sim accounts together?

            Hello Michael1,

            Yes, you can select what account(s) that you like included in the report by using the "Advanced>>" button to be able to show a list of filters that you can either include is exclude from the performance reporting.               Thank you JC. One other question. I see in account performance, trades, my trades are actually being recorded even though my brokerage is not sending me an account balance. Will ninja continue to record those internally? Also what file is that data stored in. I would like to make a copy and store it off the computer in case my HD dies.

                Hello Michael1,

                NinjaTrader will record all trades placed inside of the program inside the database file which is located in (My) Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> db and is named NinjaTrader.sdf.


                Alternatively, you can create a backup of your database file and many more items by using the backup utility built into NinjaTrader by going to the Control Center -> File -> Utilities -> Backup... and select what you would like to backup and press "Run Backup".
