Charttrader problem

    Charttrader problem

    Hi Support,

    I am using Ninja 6.5.0.6 with IB brokerage. When I placed a buy limit order using charttrader, it placed the buy limit order in IB. But after a few seconds the following error: "account write permission denied.Affected order:buy limit order".

    What is causing this? How can this be fixed.

    You likely are on a ZenFire demo account where you can't place orders. Please place your demo order on sim account.

      Hi Dierk,

      I am using cash IB account. Not a zenfire account.

      It placed order and I could see it in my IB's TWS. And then after few seconds, gave this error.

        Hmm ... you then would need to contact IB and ask for clarification.

          Hi Dierk,

          I am on TWS 878.6.

          Do you know if its a stable version? Wanted to download the version recommended by Ninja, but couldn't find the download link for it on IB.


          Do you suggest to downgrade TWS? If you have the direct download link of a stable TWS, can you please post it.

                Hi Dierk,

                I downgraded to this TWS version and no longer see this problem.

                But I noticed a different problem now. When I place a buy limit order on charttrader, after it fills me, it doesn't show entry price on the chart.
                It only shows the target and the stop. This is with IB cash account. Happened to me like all day today. I am on Ninja 6.5.0.6

                It doesn't happen, when I test it in sim mode and I have my chart trader properties setup properly.

                  Hello RK,

                  Please repair your DB from the Control Center -> Tools -> Options -> Misc tab -> Repair DB.

                  Let me know if this works.

                    Why does it have anything to do with DB? Will repair DB affect any of historical trade data or historical data?

                    Will try it later tonight and see.

                      Hello RK,

                      Repairing the database will correct any corrupt data in the database and thus will affect historical trade data if it is corrupted.

                        Hi Support,

                        I did the the "Repair DB" and will test how it performs tomorrow in realtime trading.

                        But I still do not understand it. The problem is that, it is not showing entry price in "realtime" on the charttrader. It is showing only the target and stop arrows on the charttrader in realtime.

                        In the orders screen, everything looks fine though in realtime. But it doesn't show up on the charttrader screen. So, don't know where I got filled in realtime, when I enter like say at market price on the chartrader screen. I need to go to the "Order Screen" in the control center to get the information, as to where I got filled.

                            I noticed this on emini futures. I just upgraded to 6.5.0.7, I will test in realtime tomorrow and see if I have the same problem.
